Dear Walter and Family, I was very sorry to hear of Hedi's passing. Hedi was one of the nicest people I have had the pleasure of knowing. I will miss the good times that we had at family get-togethers at Patricia and Mike's house. Deepest sympathy to Walter and family for their loss. Ruth Gooley

Oma and I always shared a love for writing poems. I wrote this one on Monday (Aug. 28th), while sitting in her room.
How much I am a piece of you,
Because you loved me through and through.
Live your dreams, work hard and save,
Stand up to bullies and be brave.
I look to sunsets and remember,
Angels baking in late November.
The smell of clean and sense of pride,
Always there and on my side.
Your love of gardens and things just so,
These parts of you will grow and grow.
As life moves on from here to there,
We keep your memory forever dear.
It's hard to think a life without,
Your loving hugs when life's in doubt.
Christmas magic, Silent Night,
German cheese cake, a pure delight.
A life of trials you had endured,
Yet always strong and faith so pure.
I picture you with your sister and brothers,
At the trailer with Momme and Babe.
Forever I'll love you, and hope you can see,
I continue to live by your legacy.
