Dearest Pat and Family John and I offer our condolences of the loss of Frank. It is such a shock to us as he was so vibrant at our summer party last year. And being English, of course, John thought he was terrific! And me being Canadian, I thought so also. I know what Frank would want you to do ....... smile, open your eyes, love your family and friends and go on. Thinking of you ....Love Ruth and John xoxox

Our sincerest condolences to the entire Watt family who have meant so much throughout our life. Frank was a gentleman in every sense of the word and we are better for having known him. We appreciated his warmth and humour, his easygoing manner and the fact that he always had time to share a story, to listen and to show you how much he cared. Growing up, we would often hear Fred refer to Uncle Frank as “my best friend”. He said those words proudly for he knew that Frank would always remain a rock in his life, through countless years of happy memories and good times shared. Then and now, the love and deep respect we held for Frank and continue to feel for Auntie Pat and the extended Watt family will help us to celebrate the richness of his life rather than the deep loss we currently feel. Frank was truly one of a kind and he will be missed by the many, many people whose lives he touched.

August 1948, My family and I spent the week at the Co-op store camp in Rothesay. Frank was there with his mates. They had entered as team in the camp's football tournament but were one player short. So Frank talked my father into playing. My father was 41 and the rest of the team 16-18yrs old I do not remember how they made out in the tournament but my father always said that was the most enjoyable week he ever had playing football.
My other memory was on Saturday afternoon's going to the Caly station and taking the train up to Georgi Rd station with Davie,Archie and Willie Morris along with Frank and his mates to see our beloved Hearts play. I was only 6-8 at the time but was fascinated listening to the them talk football and how the Hearts were going to win that day.

My Uncle Frank was a gentle, generous and loving man. Always had a smile for me and was devoted to our family. My earliest memories of arriving in Canada have Uncle Frank and Auntie Pat in them. They welcomed us to Canada, eased our way. I have so many happy happy memories of family events and Uncle Frank is smack in the middle of them all; a linchpin of our family web, 32that has spread out across the generations. We will miss you Uncle Frank but your voice will speak in my heart forever.
