Obituary of Rita McCormick

MC CORMICK, Rita Elizabeth - Peacefully on January 11, 2017 at the age of 94. Rita was the devoted wife, for over 60 years, of Terry who passed away in 2010. Rita is predeceased by her parents, Charles and Elizabeth; brother, Ross; and sister, Helen. Rita is the mother of Patricia, Neil (Sherrie), Michael (Cory), Terrence Jr. (Catherine), Gregory (Tracy), Bernard, and Daniel (Marnie). Rita is also a much loved Grandma of Michael, Thelma, Amy, Hannah, Charlotte, Sarah, Thomas, Calder, Hayden, Madeline, Seamus, Fionn, Benjamin, Alexandra, Rebecca, William, Kathleen, Connor, and Shannon; and Great-Grandmother of Ross, Eve, and Louis. Rita was an active Member of the Catholic Women's League for over 65 years. She was an fine example of a life dedicated to service - to her Family, Church and Community. She will be missed. The family will receive friends at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Rd.) Markham on Friday, January 20th, from 5 to 8pm.
