So sad to find Audra's obit when I googled her to share an old memory. She took my field course in the Geography of Maui and one day on the beach near Makena House basecamp we met Mia Farrow riding my neighbour's horse along the surf line. We had an amazing little visit with Mia and the kids. I think Audra took a photo! 3 decades later Mia's son Ronan is now a brilliant writer who outed Harvey Weinstein, starting the #metoo and causing Trump to attack NBC today. All of this involving Mia's toddler from long ago on the beach,
Audra would be amazed.
She was the one who spotted Mia and we all started chatting. Audra loved movies!
She was very creative, adventurous and open-minded. My condolences to you all. I am very sorry not to have had the chance to reminisce about our adventures!

Paul, As I said earlier I am reeling from Audra's death as if I have my right arm cut off, indeed Andres and I have lost the 'spark and drama' of the original Art Department. Besides working side by side for 15+ years at Bethune and getting the darkroom installed, it was thanks to Audra that she and I got to represent Canada at the Fort Lauderdale School of Arts for free and it was lAudra that gave the most moving farewell speech when. It was time for me to retire. All this will live on with me for the rest of my life. My heart and prayers are with you through this terrible part of your life, Paul

Dear Paul So sorry to learn of Audra's passing. She was a respected member of our Business Studies Department at Bethune Collegiate. I remember a discussion with her regarding a summer upgrading course - Pitman Shorthand or an art course. She followed her heart and passion and chose the latter leading to a fulfilling career in the art/photography programme. Many students are richer for her decision. My deepest condolences to you and family and may the many wonderful memories you have of Audra be of comfort to you.

Dearest Paul: We are devastated by the loss of Audra. Twenty two years ago we moved to the home next to you. You were the first to come over and welcome us to the neighbourhood. Little did we know back then, that we would become more than just neighbours, but lifelong friends and family. We considered both Audra and you family as we shared many happy moments together. The neighbourhood will not be the same without her vivacious laughter and her bright smile. We truly believe she is in a better place and she is smiling down at all of us.

Thirty- four years ago this past September, I met Audra taking a teacher extension art course. We did not get to know each other really well in class, but that March without realizing it, we had both booked a Club Med trip to Haiti. Upon arriving at the airport, we decided we would share a room rather than take the chance of getting a "weird" roommmate. We had a great time and remained friends ever since. Some years there was a lot of correspondence and get togethers, and others only a little as our lives took twists and turns professionally and personally, but we kept in touch. We had a 65 th birthday lunch in June; she was 16 days older . I was so glad to have spent a full day with her in September before I left for vacation. Audra looked like a little pixie....small and delicate, but impish and strong. Creative, talented in many ways and loved by many. She understood what friendship is about. She listened well and pondered what you may have shared with her. Paul and Audra were blessed to have met to share a life together. My best to you Paul and your families. We shall all remember Audra's grin and her laughter. I shall miss her! Unfortunately, I cannot attend the service...I am stiill away.
