Donna,Ian and family, I was so saddened to hear of the passing of your wonderful mom. Having heard so many stories over the years, it really made me sad to learn the news. I wish you all peace to bring you comfort, courage to face the days ahead and I know you'll have many happy, loving memories to warm your hearts and bring a smile. She was such a great teacher for my brother Michael, giving him great tools to help him express his great artisitc abilities. I'm sure she'll be missed by all who knew her.

Dear Gail, and family. So sad to lose your mother especially one so wonderful. I was lucky to meet and chat with Mrs. Collins on a few occasions over the years. Always very friendly, warm, no doubt loved her grandchildren and such a very pretty woman. Prayers for your family at this very difficult time. Irene Marie Dorey

Mrs Collins was a part of my life...we were neighbours from when I was 2 till 10. She was like another mother to me. She was stern and compassionate, strict and funny. She drew a line and let us cross it, but somehow you just wanted to do right by her. When we left for school every day she'd say "Now you girls learn something today'...I never understood what she meant by that, I found it baffling and amusing...maybe it was that twinkle in her eye that left me wondering. She was a hero to us all the day she saved the house from a fire we had started in the basement. Without hesitation or fear she ripped the burning curtains from the wall and stomped them out; I remember being in awe of her pragmatic courage. She was just...a really nice person and she was a great mom to my best friend forever Gail Collins. She will be missed. I hold her with great respect and admiration for who she was, how she lived, her huge talent, beautiful heart and the considerable accomplishment of raising 4 strong, capable, responsible, funny, loving, excellent people.
