My heartfelt sympathy to Maureen's family and friends on her passing. I had the pleasure of knowing Maureen through our mutual friend and my next door neighbour, Jean Boyd, and the friendship between Maureen and me continued after Jean passed away. I will never forget the kindnesses she extended to me when I was going through times of distress for several years and how we still managed to share laughter. She shared the information about her illness with me but I knew she would fight it with courage and determination. I can still recall her lovely singing voice and how dedicated she was to the choir, its members and other friends. She will be truly missed by me and all who knew her. May you rest in peace Maureen.
