Obituary of Margaret Gibbons

GIBBONS, MARGARET - Margaret Gibbons, 71, of Unionville, Ontario, died in her sleep on August 6, 2016, at Markham-Stouffville Hospital in Markham, Ontario. Born September 22, 1944 in Glasgow, Scotland, she is predeceased by her parents, George and Jean Anderson of Glasgow, Scotland. Beloved wife of David for 53 years. Loving mother of David (Sandra) Gibbons of Cardinal Ontario, and Ken (Francie.) Gibbons of Aurora, Ontario. Proud grandmother of Adam, Scott (Stephanie), Ryan, Brianna and Kamren. Margaret was a mother and a compassionate health care volunteer. She loved the sun and travelled to Naples, Florida every winter. She will be missed by all of her extended family and friends. Visitation will be held at the DIXON-GARLAND FUENRAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road) Markham on Wednesday, August 10 from 7-9 pm. Funeral Service will be held in the Chapel on Thursday at 11 am. Donations in Margaret's memory, may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to The Lung Association
