Michael touched so many lives... I will miss his stories - watching his eyes light up when he spoke of his family - having him truly care and just check in to see if all was good in my world. Thank you for watch you have taught me about appreciating the little things in life. You will be missed my friend.

We've lost one of the good ones. Mike had a care for others and a love of family that was deep and profound. He had a wry sense of humour in all situations and a calming demeanour which brought tranquility to hectic times. He was a great fit for his chosen career as he could provide a sympathetic ear to those in troubled times. But he was a fun guy; a quick one to laugh and to tell a good yarn. He spoke of his family with pride and love, he was truly a gentleman.

It is indeed sad to hear of Mike's passing. We had found it difficult to get in contact with him and to then find that our worst fears were true. Mike and I were friends, and close ones, for many years beginning at Balmy Beach Public school and continuing to about the age of 30. We lost contact when we moved to Montreal and Mike and family went west to B.C. for what we used to describe as a hippy lifestyle. (Attached is a photo of our hockey team from 1951.) We shared the adventures of our teenage years, first girlfriends, first cars, first jobs and lots of laughs. Our weddings were very close (photo attached of our wedding with Mike proposing a toast.) We were delighted to visit with Elma and Mike several years ago and to see how happy they were together. He was a close friend for many years, and a good one. I am sorry that he is gone and offer my condolences and that of Lynn’s, to his family and friends. – Ron Pickering

Very sorry to hear of Mike's death. As an insurance agent he was second to none. I enjoyed working with him; he was unfailingly kind to me. Not only was he a great storyteller, but he was a great listener. My sincere condolences to you and his family.
