Obituary of Lynn Blackmore

BLACKMORE, Lynn Irene (nee MacCharles)- Died peacefully at home surrounded by family and close friends on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at the age of 69. Loving wife of Ron for 47 years and mother of Paul, Elizabeth and the late Jennifer. Lovingly remembered by Marta, Mark, Stephan, and Evan as well as her many close friends and family. Lynn enjoyed spending time with family and friends in Italy and Prince Edward County. Special thanks to the Garnish Green "Meals on Heels" team. We are greatful to the oncology and palliative care teams at Markham Stouffville Hospital, especially Drs. Simos, Trinkaus and Patterson, the nurses in the chemo clinic and our in-home team including Krista, Jackie, Asha and Pam for their amazing care. Her will to live will stand as an inspiration to those who survive her. Visitation will be held at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Memorial Mass will take place at St. Patrick's Parish, 5633 Highway #7 on Wednesday, February 24 at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the oncology department at Markham Stouffville Hospital.
