I'm so sorry to hear of Elaine's passing. She was so kind to me when I worked at the CBC as a hairdresser, and took me under her wing. She lit up the room with her humour, and I'll always remember her smile, funny stories, and light-heartedness. She will be sorely missed. God bless.

So saddened to have learned, just today (Monday, January 4), of the death of our dear friend, Elaine. She was a TV makeup artist to me for over 50 years and was always a lively and loving presence in my life. I will always remember her laughter, her warmth and her unwavering loyalty to good friends. Elaine was very special to us. Her loss is difficult to comprehend as she was bigger than life. Our children were very sorry to hear about her passing. I have such fond memories of dear Elaine. She was one of the first makeup artists I got to know at CBC and I loved her instantly. Always smiling. Always friendly and loving. I wish I could be there to honour her today but I am out of town so I shall raise a glass from afar and hope that she is having a grand time catching up with Joan. Thank you for the lovely memories. I wish to express my deepest condolences to Elaine's family on her recent sudden passing. Elaine and I had been friends since 1999 when I first met her at The Shopping Channel, as she was the one and only Make-up Artist for Joan Rivers. We laughed and talked forever, and we had so much in common. We met many times for lunch and dinner, I visited her home, and she came to mine. Her presence lit up my day when I saw her at work. She "told it like it was" and I so appreciated that about her....the sense of humour of this woman will never be forgotten. Her amazing spirit will live on and on in my memory. I am deeply saddened by her passing. Rest in peace Elaine...you are loved!

I only knew Elaine for the past two years, yet it was like we had known each other a lifetime. I will greatly miss her - for all the belly laughs and loving friendship. To the family: my deepest sympathy goes out to you. Please be comforted in knowing that Elaine is gone from this earth, but will be forever in our hearts. I am going to miss her phone calls and messages telling me that the Children's Aid in Toronto was calling, and wanted me to come and pick up my "little buggers"...
