Obituary of Peter Beers

BEERS, Peter Thomas March 24, 1942 - December 19, 2015 Peter Thomas Beers was a proud Legion member who lived a life filled with great friends and fun times. He very peacefully passed away after a long battle with heart disease and Alzheimer's. Pete was a very loyal employee that had a long successful career in sales, with the majority of it spent at Universal Drum. He was born in Dublin, Ireland but was raised in Belfast. Beloved son of predeceased parents, Anne Beers (nee Wilkinson) and William (Billy) Beers, as well as predeceased younger brother, Raymond Beers and sister-in-law, Margaret Beers (nee Gurlitz). He will be sorely missed by his loving wife of 46 years, Drinda Beers (nee O'Brien). He will also be deeply missed by his two children, son, Terrence (Terry) Beers and wife Connie of Atlanta, Georgia, and his daughter, Shauna Ming (nee Beers) and husband Andrew Ming of Markham, Ontario. Peter was also a proud Papa to his three grandchildren, Ané Jelena Beers and Rylan and Jasmine Ming. A Celebration of Peter's Life will be held at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road), Markham on Tuesday, December 22nd, from 3:00-5:00pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to either the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Ontario or the Alzheimer Society of Toronto would be appreciated.
