Its hard to believe -Bernice became my wonderful sister in law upon our combined wedding with Brenda and Ron in Sept 1967. The wonderful times we had as 2 young couples will never be forgotten. Bernice always held a place deep in my heart. I only wish we had been able to be more part of her life in her later more difficult times. Forever remembered.......my condolences Matt and Gary.

Dear Framily and Friends of Bernice: I regret that I will be unable to attend the formal service for dear Bernice, but want you to know that my heart is with you. To me, Bernice was one of the most beautiful women of the world, sensitive and kind, very warm, and possessed a wonderful sense of humour. I can almost hear her quiet laughter now. I knew Bernice from the old cottage days and the light hearted fun she brought into a room. She and Brenda were always a delight to be around. We did not see each other much after our 20's and 30's, but when we did she always felt like family and had a big smile for me and everyone around her. I am sure she had her struggles like everyone else, but never seemed to show them. To Gary and Matt, I know that you will always miss your mom very much and I am deeply sorrow for your loss. I feel sad that you, your family, and the world have lost a beautiful person. Love and remembrance Rosemary

I remember my cousin Bernice fondly. She was my god mother. She moved to the big city of Toronto from Capreol when I was still quite young when we lived around the corner from them. I remember she always brought me an interesting gift of a thinking game or puzzle of some sort for Christmas. Today, I have a love of puzzles. Who knows, maybe Bernice sparked that interest in me. I hope she is in a good place. Hugs to Gary and Matthew. Your cousin, Jane Sorel
