Obituary of Donald Kreutzer
Donald Bryan Kreutzer 1941 - 2015
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Donald Bryan Kreutzer. When faced with a battle that was impossible to win Don met it head on with strength, courage and dignity, these characteristics defined who he was. He succumbed to his illness on November 19th with his family by his side. He was born on December 17, 1941 in Winnipeg, Manitoba to Arthur and Lillian Kreutzer and is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years Deborah Finlay. He is also survived by sisters, Jane, Joyce, Sharon and Carol. He was very proud of his children, Kim and her partner David, Paul and his wife Sandra and Karen and her husband Mike Sear. Don enjoyed all the golf, hockey games, recitals, plays and skate board performances of his beloved grandchildren, Ben, Luke, Emily, Jack and Maxwell. He was an avid sportsman and spent many hours on the golf course with his great friends, when he wasn't on the golf course he loved to hunt and fish, especially for West Coast salmon. A celebration of his life will be held on Wednesday, November 25th at Bethesda Lutheran Church, 20 Union Street, Unionville, Ontario. A visitation will commence at 3pm and will be immediately followed by a memorial service at 4pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation. The family expresses sincere gratitude to the Doctors and Nurses in the Cardio Vascular Intensive Care Unit at Toronto General Hospital who worked tirelessly for hours to bring him back to us.
