We were saddened to hear of Charlie's sudden passing. Charlie was a gentleman, a mentor & a true friend. So many great memories and so many stories from working together for nearly 40 years. He will indeed be missed. Our thoughts & prayers go out to Dot & the entire family.

Charlie, or Chuck as I knew him was my first supervisor at State Farm in 1960. At 18 years old in my first real job is was a scary experience, but Chuck was so patient and kind that I looked forward to seeing him every day. He was without a doubt one of my favourite people at the company and in my life. So many memories in Muskoka too when he had the cottage just across the lake from us. and I would see him arrive every Friday night, standing up with his head poking through the convertible top and unloading to take supplies up the long path to the cottage. I will miss him.

Charlie was a great man and a true gentleman. He had a incredible sense of humour which he coupled with an incite full knowledge of our company business to help guide our plans in an enlightened and truly enjoyable way. More than this was his willingness to mentor and counsel his peers and associates as the worked to manage their careers. The world has lost a special soul and a friend to many . May he continue to receive his reward in the life to come and always find a winning seat at the card table ..

Charlie was more than a business associate, he was a mentor and friend. While he was surely brilliant and knowledgeable, it was his wonderful sense of humour, infectious laugh and generous nature that struck a cord with everyone who had the pleasure to be with him. His words and his laugh will remain with me always. We all share your loss of this remarkable gentleman and most singular man.
