This will be as short as the time I knew Devon but in that time there was much to learn. Growing up I always had a passion for music, preferably hip hop, and this was a fondness both Devon and I shared. The first time I met him I'd never forget him. Whenever we ran into eachother there would have to be a conversation about a certain song we'd analyze or I'd often listen to him rhyme in verse. He loved it as much as I adored his passion. He taught me a lesson that no matter the person you are seen as, or grow up to become, you yourself must always push past the differences in one another. This was an important lesson he taught me and I have cherished it since. Rest well in paradise friend. Rest well.

I remember Devon bein the one to stay next to my friend and Bring it on. I spent a weekend getting to know an amazing person. I remember looking at devon- and going holy tattoos, but when I found out how inspired he was to be in forensics, it was amazing. Truely a dont judge a book by its cover moment.
Then frosh week at Trent, their was a BBQ, and I saw him in line by himself, I went and had dinner with him. We spoke for hours and hours about life, and school, and how we were nervous for classes to start because we had partied too hard the nights before.
Devon was an amazing guy- and I am so lucky to say I have met a guy like him in my life.
My deepest condolences will forever be with his friends and family in this time of need.
Ill never forget his laugh- ever.

I never met Devon but I knew a great deal about him as I am close with his sister. Such a tragedy for someone so young and brilliant.
