Jan, Sarah, Richard, I really sorry for your loss. I have had a hard time thinking or Ernie and all of the good times I had with him. I remembered him taking me snowmobiling for the first time in Markham where Brother Andre now stands and all the way up to the Switzer property on 16th. I remember being towed around Balsam Lake behind the Miss Sarah for hours on end. I remember the countless hours fishing with him. I remember breaking one of his fishing rods, his trolling motor, defrosting his fridge at the cottage, and crashing the golf cart but he still had patience with me. Ernie taught me a lot of things (including how to take the governor off the golf cart so I could go faster) and I am grateful for the opportunities that Jan, Ernie, Sarah, and Richard gave me. They helped make me who I am today. I had the opportunity to talk with Ernie in the parking lot of Georges recently and as awkward as it was I said thank you for the opportunities and for helping me form my love of fishing.
