Obituary of Esther Hicks

HICKS, Esther Elizabeth; (Nee Beare) Peacefully on April 29, 2015 at the age of 102 years. Beloved wife of the late Rev. W.J.T Hicks. Loving mother to Ruth Brackley (Alan), Lois Allen (Len Pugh), Jim Hicks (Fern), Eunice Hamilton (Richard), John Hicks (Marilyn), Esther Warren, Joanna McNeil (late Tom), Julia Lees (Lucky), Priscilla Newman (Richard) and the late William Andrew. Dear Grandmother to 22, Great Grandmother to 33, Great Great Grandmother to 6. She will be dearly missed by her brother Russell Beare, many nieces, nephews and friends. Predeceased by her grandson Alexander, sisters Florence Toms, Beatrice Featherstone, Reiva Brown, and Hazel Couperthwaite. Family and friends may visit at DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main St. N., Markham, (905) 294-2030 on Monday, May 4, 2015 from 7-9 pm and from 10 am to 12 noon with the Service at 12 noon on Tuesday, May 5, 2015 at the Malvern Methodist Church, 2 Morningview Trail, Scarborough.
