Obituary of Peter Golding

Golding, Peter 1920-2012 Passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 27, 2012 at Markham Stouffville Hospital in his 92nd year. Beloved husband of Rita Golding, married 71 years. Lovingly adored by his children, Geoff (Heather), Jennifer (Stewart), Jon and Ian. He will be forever cherished by his 10 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren. Peter was a character who will be terribly missed by everyone who had the immense pleasure of knowing him. A former World War II veteran, he will be remembered for his love of animals, fishing, music and dance, his unique sense of humour, and his willingness to do anything for his family. Family and friends will be received to celebrate Peter's life at the DIXON-GARLAND FUNERAL HOME, 166 Main Street North (Markham Road) Markham, on Sunday, December 2 from 3-5 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's Parish, 5633 7 Hwy Markham, on Tuesday, December 4 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart & Stroke Foundation or Ontario SPCA would be appreciated.
