I was sorry to miss the gathering to honor your dear father's life. I remember him as pleasant and gentle with a great love for family and God. I too remember the pond and the attempts to ice skate. May memories of your father and the promise of Heaven sustain you.

Dear Cousins, I was saddened to hear of the passing of your father. He was a marvelous man who made a wonderful impact on my life....especially the ice as I was trying to learn to ice skate on the pond at your place. His friendly demeanor and positive attitude will remain firmly burned into my memory. May the peace that passes understanding be with you during this time.

We remember Harvey and of course his dear wife Alva with many fond memories. We first met them in 1973 when we became part of Mt. Zion Fellowship in Pickering. They were a faithful part of that church & the home bible study group. Harvey had a quiet wisdom that was always appreciated. He was a true friend and whenever needed a great helper. Harvey graciously allowed others to use his little orange garden tractor to till the garden at our home to grow veggies which the whole church enjoyed. His friendly disposition and warm smile will be missed. Our condolences to all the family.

My heart is with you all and will be for a very long time to come. There are so many stories, so many memories from wee to adult. Harvey will not soon be forgotten by many. I don't think he realized how many lives he touched in his quiet way over the years. Hugs!
