Obituary of Violet Toms

Toms, Violet Eileen- Passed away peacefully after a lengthy struggle with Alzheimer's at Parkview on Wednesday, December 17 at the age of 87. Wife of late Roy Toms. Mother of Eva Carter (Michael), Jim, and Darlene Munro (Rob). Grandmother of Sarah Carter, Nicole Barbato, Richard and Robbie Munro and Jason Toms. Great Grandmother of Carter and Naomi Norman and Luca and Sophia Barbato. Predeceased by her parents James (Scottie) and Emily Walker and brother Don Walker. Violet affectionately known as Bunny was a proud Markhamite. Sincere gratitude to the nursing and medical staff at Parkview Home for their compassionate care. Friends will be received at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N (Markham Road North), Markham on Monday, January 5 from 1-3 and 7-9. Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, January 6 at 1 pm in the Chapel. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations to the Alzheimer Society or Parkview Home would be appreciated.
