Obituary of Eric Schofield

Schofield, Eric Isles - October 5, 1914 - November 12, 2014 After achieving his dream to reach 100 years old, our loving father peacefully went to join our loving mother Lucille (passed away March 2003). Eric had a wonderful life, filled with family and friends. Cherished dad to Darby Lynch, Mary Jane Murray (Brian) and Lucy Ann Johnson. Awesome granddad to Dan (Melanie), Lisa (Russell), Tracey (Jason), Chris (Kate), Alex (Char), Doug (Jessica), Scott (Cindy), Laura (Scott) and Keith (Nicole). Dad was especially proud of his great-grandchildren, Jenna, Connor, Ausha, Paige, Dylan, Jaxon, Sloan, Harrison, Raegan, Ben, Dominic, Olivia and Chase. He will be fondly remembered by his brother-in-law Allen Hardman (Sophie), his nephew Allen Jr. and family and niece Robin. Also fondly remembered by his relatives in England. Eric was born in England, lived in Toronto, raised his family in Scarborough and moved to Markham in 1986. He was active in his community helping older adults age gracefully. A long life well lived. The family is very grateful for the wonderful care dad has received at Woodhaven Long Term Care in Markham for the last 22 months. A private family service will be held.
