Obituary of Jean Elward

Jean Lorraine Elward passed away on Tuesday, October 28, 2014 at the age of 89 years. She will be missed by her husband, Edwin, her four children and their spouses (Laurie, Mark, Jon, and Brent), her sister Verna Bumstead, eight grandchildren, one great grandchild and other family members. Jean was a devoted and supportive wife and mother. She obtained her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Toronto graduating in a small class of 7 students in 1947. Jean also enjoyed bridge, golf and curling and made many good friends through these endeavours. There will be a tribute to Jean given by her family at 2 pm on Sunday, November 9th with the visitation starting at 1 pm, at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North in Markham.
