I also met Glenn at Carleton University, where he was very much part of the fabric of 2nd Russell. I am struck by his passing -- he was the kindest and gentlest among us and his passing at age 40 seems horribly unfair. He will be remembered fondly by all who met him, and I wish to extend my condolences to his family.

Glenn had been a great son, brother, husband, brother-in-law and uncle. He was a reserve and unassuming person who never wanted to be the center of attention. However, Glenn might not have known this but he had touched the lives of his family, friends, and co-workers. He was taken away from us far too soon. For this, we will be remember forever.
Glenn, you are truly missed by everyone. Your suffering has ended. In a short little while, you will earn your wings and be watching out for us. You are everyone's guardian angel.
Rest in peace!

I am truly sorry for your loss. Glenn was a great co worker who always had a smile for you. I remember bringing my daughter into the office a few years back when Glenn was in the BC team and he entertained her by twirling dimes and nickels on his desk. Truly a people person who brought joy to both young and old. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

I met Glenn in the early 90's at Carleton. We lived next door to each other in residence and as my neighbour and friend Glenn helped to make getting use to life in a new city so much easier. He was generous and selfless, always there to lend a hand. He was a joy to know, fun, and in all the best ways, quirky. To Susan and all of Glenn's family, please accept the thoughts and sympathy of myself and my wife Cindy. We will miss Glenn, as will all that were lucky enough to know him.

Friends are the pillars on your porch. Sometimes they hold you up, sometimes they lean on you, and sometimes it's just enough to know that they are standing by. We were coworkers of FNF Canada. Glenn was a great man, coworker and a friend. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

Our deepest and most heartfelt condolences to the family and freinds of Glenn. To the Mortgage sales team at President's Choice, Glenn was our "go-to" guy, "The fixer" of all our concerns. He was passionate about his work, and was always willing to help. I did not know him personally, but am sure he lead his life the same way. Thank you Glenn for being there for us, you will be most dearly missed. Kevin and the PCF Mortgage Team

Susan and family, Words cannot describe the shock of Glenn’s passing. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Glenn came to work with me and our team when we were building the BC team and he always brought a smile, laughs and a strong work ethic to the team. We continuously tried to feed him daily and not live on chocolate :-)He was a fixture at the Thursday night team meeting that the boys had (the girls joined them on a few occasions). We will all still remember the laughs and good times and will never forget the ‘impromptu wedding shower’ for Glenn where Susan got to reap the benefits of the fun gifts also. Susan, Glenn would want you to be strong. He will always watch over you and be that little angel (or devil at times) on your shoulder. Lots of Love, Sherri Frank

Glenn is my cousin,
the last time we spoke was in the 1980's (wow time flies) and unfortunatley I never had an opportunity to see what kind of a man he became, but as a kid he was pretty cool.
I mostly recall all of the cool toys he had, the stretch armstrong doll, slime, texas instrament computer and a host of rubber snakes. I was never alowed to have rubber snakes due to a extream fear that my mom has of them. I didn't know about that fear until Glenn let me play with the snake. I can't remember how old we were but I do recall bringing the rubber snake to the dinner table and wrapping it around my moms neck. I am not sure what the world record high jump was but I am pretty sure my mom broke it then. Man, she freaked out. Glenn and I both thought it was pretty funny at the time. My mom....not so much. Funny what you remember.
My deepest sympathies to all who knew him better than I did. I am deeply saddend for your loss.

When we were all part of one team, we would always recognize each others birthday with a cake and gifts. Glenn's birthday was close to that of our boss, Sherri. Of course, we always recognized her birthday, too.
One year, we were getting set to surprise Sherri for her birthday, and I enlisted Glenn's help in getting the cake and plates, etc from the cafeteria. Glenn dutifully, and happily, carried Sherri's birthday cake back to the cubicles at my request while I managed the other items. When we arrived, everyone was crowded around Sherri's desk, and as Glenn and I walked into the area, everyone shouted "Happy birthday, Glenn!"
He was very surprised, because he was convinced that this was a celebration for Sherri. After taking a moment to allow it to sink in, Glenn turned to me, an incredulous look on his face, and said, "You made me carry my own birthday cake!"
I will always remember that.

Shocked doesn't even begin to describe my feeling. Glenn and I shared many conversations in the mornings as we were one of the first in the building at FNF. Ironic considering we were right up there in terms of distance from the office. It's been awhile since I left FNF and spoken to Glenn but I will always cherish our conversations about obscure TV theme songs, great Chevy Chase rants and the "war" against raccoons. He will be sorely missed.

Susan, please accept my deepest condolences. Know that you are in my thoughts during this difficult time. Glenn was truly one of the nicest and funniest people I have ever come across, and when I met him six years ago I had no idea that he would have such an impact on my life. For almost three years I came to work everyday and laughed because of him. He was an amazing friend who was always there to crack a joke, lighten the mood, offer advice and just listen. We shared a lot of good times while working together and I will keep those memories forever. Glenneth, you were taken too soon but you will never be forgotten.

I want to offer my deepest condolences Susan, my thoughts are with you and your entire family. It's hard to understand why people are taken from us particularly early in life but hopefully we find the comfort and peace which comes from the memories shared. Glenn always brought humour and commitment whether embracing his support in building the appraisal department starting in a closet, to the crazed decorating efforts at xmas or simply seeing humour at stressful times. Someone so special will be missed, and never be forgotten.

What can I say that hasn't been said already? Words cannot describe how at a loss I am. Susan, know that I will always be there to support you in any way that I can. I feel that I owe so much for what Glenn brought to my life. He was a terrific friend and so much more. Countless times Glenn would drop everything to help me, hear me out, share a few jokes or just let me bend his ear - when whatever I said usually had nothing to do with him... and he would listen, and understand and offer the best advice or wisdom he could to try and help. He was by far one of the most loyal and reliable persons I have ever known and probably ever will. Although we grew distant once I left FNF, it never affected the bond we shared. Glenn will live on in our hearts and minds forever. Gone but never forgotten. Susan, please let me know if you ever need anything and I will be there as much as Glenn was there for me.

I'm so sorry for this loss. I worked with Glenn at FNF for about 2 years, and he made a big impact on my life. He was so hard working; the first guy in the office in the morning, and the last guy to leave at night. He was kind and patient with all of his colleagues, no matter what the subject or how silly the question. Glenn was the type of person that would step in front of a bus for his friends. He will be truly missed by a lot of people.

Glenn was one of the few persons that I met AT WORK and our friendship was even better OUTSIDE of work. Now I have no-one to share my Game of Thrones commentaries, reviews and laugh at how accurately the people and themes from this show imitate our own lives. Glenn was my friend and for all who knew him, can attest to the fact that he is one of the most loyal and devoted persons you will ever meet in this life. Be strong Susan and rest assured that even during his sickness, Glenn would do his best to find the simple things in life to smile about. From my Family to yours…..Lots of love during this - your season of bereavement. Tyrone Sutherland

Susan, my deepest and most sincere condolences to you, and, indeed, all of your family. I was shocked at the news of Glenn's passing. Never have I known a nicer, gentler, more sincere and honest person than Glenn. It was my great luck and great pleasure to meet him and get to know him. I may not have seen either of you on a regular basis, but I thought of you both often. I know that you will have wonderful family and close friends to help you through this time, but also please know that there are many others who will offer support whenever it is needed. Glenn was a fine man, a good worker, and a good friend. Most of all, though, he was an exemplary human being. He will be greatly missed by many people.

Glenn once took me under his wing upon starting a new job. The anxieties from entering the unknown in a new position were soon thwarted in mere minutes after meeting Glenn. He had a natural likeability to him and his sense of humour can easily brighten up anyone's day. People like Glenn are few and far between.
Although it's been quite a while since we spoke, I was in utter shock and disbelief to hear about his passing. Not even time can erase those feelings and emotions one gets after meeting someone truly magnificent.
On to the next chapter,
Vince.

Glenn, you are my oldest friend. When we started working together at the DQ... I thought you were qweky... but a super nice guy with a heart of gold.... 25 years later.... I think that my first impression was 100% correct. I used to love getting together and watching movies and crushing a 2L bottle of Coke and a big bag of chips each. We shared a love of all movies. We had a love of horror and low budget movies that most of our other friends didn't really share. I also enjoyed hanging out at your parents house. I remember vividly giving Max the finger and how she would growl and show her teeth when we did it. FAR too many more memories to put here.
Although we didn't see eachother much recently... I was always thinking of you, and will always be in my heart!! I hope that you felt all the love in the world that all of your friends have for you when you took your final breath and hopefully that brought you peace.
I LOVE AND MISS you my brother. I know that I will see you again, but hopefully not for quite a long time!!
You have rejoined your mothers now...
See ya on the other side.

After a hard fought battle with cancer our Glenn as passed on Tuesday August 19, 2014. Our hearts are filled with sorrow, love and admiration. How to describe a man as valiant as Glenn? A dedicated and adoring husband to his beautiful wife Susan, a caring and supportive son, brother, uncle and friend. He was a fanatic about his comics, cartoons and collections. A Gentleman and a class act all the way. This only touches upon the incredible man Glenn was.
