KEELEY, Jill

A resident of Markham for over 45 years peacefully passed away, at home, the night of June 27th, 2014 from heart failure following a lengthy illness. Affectionately called Jill, matching up with her twin brother Jack (deceased), her christened name was Carol Jane. Born to Murray Boulton and Thora Storm in Winnipeg, Manitoba, she is survived by her sister Ann Jenkins (London, Ontario). Jill was marred to Roger for over 55 years and passed away at age 75. Often called the "Hat Lady" Jill had exquisite taste for fashion and decorating. An international traveler she covered over 20 foreign countries. A terrific Mom to five wonderful and happy children, Pamm Nolan (Glen Nolan) (deceased), Michelle Kelley (Jim Drohan) in Toronto, Chris Kelley (Kim Morgan) in Unionville, Tracey Kelley Opyc (Dean Opyc) in Kitchener, and Todd Kelley (David Bitran) in New York. She was a fantastic listener, who always had an available word of wisdom. She truly loved family and laughter. Jill had the privilege of chairing the Board of St. Andrews United Church in Markham, in her healthier days. Loving "Nana" to Ben Nolan, Gavin and Blake Drohan, Meghan an d Nolan Kelley and Hailey and Hayden Opyc. A rainbow shines in our lives today. Resting at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home at 166 Main Street, Markham. Visitation Monday, July 7, 2014 from 2-4 pm and 6-9 pm. Service in the Chapel at 1pm on Tuesday. In lieu of flowers, the family appreciates donations to be forwarded to Markham Stouffville Hospital.
