Obituary of William Webber

Webber, William E. February 3, 1934 - April 12, 2014 Bill passed away peacefully with his family beside him at Markham Stouffville Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. Beloved husband to Betty for 59 years and dear father to Bill (Sharon), Dave (Manon) and brother-in-law Joe Magdall. Proud grandfather of Myriam, Kiana and Jaydon. Bill was a steady, inspiring leader to his family and his career. He joined IBM in 1959 in Vancouver B.C. and held many executive positions in The Lakehead, Winnipeg, Toronto, The World Trade Centre in New York and the Caribbean until his retirement. Charismatic and charming, Bill liked to laugh and make others laugh with him with his quick wit. Bill enjoyed gardening, photograph, jazz music particularly 1940's and 1950's and always had high hopes for the Toronto Blue Jays. Many thanks to Dr. Meinig, Dr. Solow and the medical staff at Markham Stouffville Hospital and to Neil Garland for his sensitive help. A private funeral was held and cremation followed.
