Obituary of Shirley Carter

CARTER, Shirley Evelyn (nee Harrison) It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of Shirley, on October 19th, 2012, in her 75th year. Loving wife and best friend of John. Devoted mother of Daniel (Jacqueline) and Lynne (Graham) and doting grandmother of Nigel. Predeceased by her parents David and Elizabeth; brothers Harold, Leslie, and Ronald; sisters Doris, Joan, Midge and Lillian; mother-in-law Frances and father-in-law George. Dear aunt to many nieces and nephews. Shirley loved life and was an inspiration to many. She will be greatly missed, and remembered, by all who knew her. Private cremation. A celebration of life will be held in the Spring. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
