I can't believe it has been one year since Joyce's passing. She continues to leave her timeless impression on me, and I will continue to remember her for her utmost perfection for years to come. God bless her family, and my sincerest condolences.

I was a Personal Support Worker for her when she used to live her on Auston Drive. After she went to her retire home I would also visit her occasionally. She was one of the kindest women I've ever met. She taught me many lessons, as she was also very intelligent and one of the most organized individuals I've ever seen. She helped me with my speaking skills as I'm immigrated to Canada from Sri Lanka, and at times my English needed to be corrected. She would always make sure to correct me and it was always wonderful to know that she wanted to help me improve in my speaking skills. I will really miss her, and I wish I could have had the opportunity to see her one last time. May her soul be at peace.

Stephen and family, I read, on Saturday morning, with sadness, of the passing of your Mom, Joyce . Mike and I are so sorry for your loss. Your Mom was a remarkable woman and we really enjoyed getting to know her as a neighbour , across the hall from us in 25.Austin Drive . We rented a condo on her floor there while we were waiting for our house to be completed . We loved chatting with her. I did visit with her in her Stouffville residence and found her every bit as entertaining as she was at Austin Drive. She called me in the fall and her message was that If I felt like " nattering for a while " I should call her back. Such an endearing person for sure. She will be greatly missed . Judy and Mike Dwyer

Our fondest memories of Joyce have one common theme, a zest for life. Ever since meeting her at Holy Trinity School and seeing the pride in her grandchildren, in her son and his wife, we were privileged to have known her. She was a wonderful woman who inspired us from with examples or riding a camel in Egypt, speaking out at Grandparent functions at HTS to support the school, to dancing at her granddaughter Stephanie's wedding. She had a readily laugh, a warm smile and a generous heart and we know she will be missed.

I am asking that you choose to spend some time on March 1st to remember Joyce. Have a cinnamon or sticky bun and share some memories of this special lady. If you would write something here, in "Memories" we could share with others. Separated by geography, we are joined in our love, friendship and memories.

To further enhance your time, have a cinnamon or sticky bun and write some memories of her. You could enter the memory here and/or email to me. We are sending our heartfelt condolences on the passing of your mother and grandmother. We remember a lovely week spent cruising with her in the Baltic Sea some years back. She was great company and had a lively sense of humour. So sad for your loss.

Stephen and I were deeply saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. She was a wonderful woman and a role model to all who knew here. We enjoyed our travels with Joyce and will always remember her kind, loving spirit.
