To the entire Groves family:
We would like to express our deepest sympathy. Mickey was such a LOVING, SWEET and CARING person. She always greeted us with a smile and a wave from her window whenever we walked up or down the street. We will miss the neighbourly conversations, her genuine concern for each of us and her wonderful sunny personality. Our little street will not be the same without her.
Sincerely,
The Harpers ( Scott, Lisa, Katie and Henderson) at the end of Victoria Avenue

I have never met Mrs. Madelene Alma "Mickey" Groves.
I started working at Mrs. Groves son's business this past December.
From what I have seen, while working at Wayne's business, his mother must have been very proud with his success.
As with all businesses I am sure there were struggles along the way.
It was not until working at Wayne's business, for a few weeks, that I found out that Nick is Wayne's son. Having children myself I realize that it means a lot to have one's offspring follow in the families footsteps.
I have never seen father/son squabble or fuss. They have created a good environment to work in.
I have even learnt to look at those multiple steps, to their workplace (3rd floor), as a warm-up (and wakeup) to the work ahead. The steps down, at the end of the day, are a little side reward for the work completed at days end.
Though I have not met the rest of the family, from what I have seen in Mrs. Groves son (Wayne) and her grandson (Nick) I am certain she arrived contented on the other side with what she left behind (and will eventually rejoin that circle).
Sorry for loss, at this time.

Grandma Groves was Grandma to so many - and especially to our Nate. She never missed his birthday and was simply a part of our family. Her visits to Kelowna were highlights for us all. She has always been there for us and we can't imagine our lives without her. She truly was our gift from God.

We're sorry you have lost your mother, Mark and Wayne, and hope that you and your families are doing ok. Think of the music box winding down. Although the music fades and the movement finally stops, the beauty of the dancing figure is frozen in time. On behalf of Sue and Heather, I send our love.

To Mark, Wayne and families ... We were saddened to learn of the passing of Aunt Madelene and send all of you our deepest sympathies. Paul has fond memories of vacationing with you all in Unionville as a youngster. We were so happy that Aunt Madelene had a chance to visit with us in New Brunswick twice. We visited PEI, Hopewell Rocks at the Bay of Fundy and Kings Landing. She even had fun playing washer toss and is actually the reigning Trout Brook champion. We will miss her and treasure these memories. "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of His Saints." Psalm 116:15. Paul & Marie Murphy

Another milestone met. Wayne we all see life through our own portal, what we do with it makes us what we are. We all lose our closest family and friends in time, that's a fact. Maybe in some other world we will all meet again.
