I am truly sorry to hear of David’s passing. My love and sympathy to all the family at this difficult time. Some of my fondest memories as a child were the times spent in the Harriott home that was always filled with love, laughter and kindness. I can still recall David reading “to a mouse” in full Scottish brogue to my little sister Kristen and I at the dinning room table. Rest easy David, and say hello to Gram for us.

Mr. Herriot lived a good life without compromise, and for that he can be proud. The Artist, Laurie Anderson said that it felt like a library burned down when she lost her Father. I imagine we all feel this way, when we lose someone that we once turned to for knowledge, support and guidance. I hope the family can find peace during this difficult time.

To the family of David Herriot,
I did not have the pleasure of meeting Mr. Herriot, however I feel as if I did. His son Charles spoke often of his Father - sometimes with humour but always with love.
May he rest in peace.

My sincerest condolences. What a great picture of David. He hadn’t changed much since the last time I saw him 20 years ago. He was a man who took great pride in his heritage and family. I am very sorry to hear of his passing.

Our deepest condolences. Some of my favourite childhood memories were visiting in the summers. David's humour made me laugh on every one of those trips. I share the stories with my own son: my first trip to the CN Tower and the revolving restaurant, Simone the cat, the moonflowers and the fish oven mitts will always bring joy to my heart.

David will be missed. We will remember him as a kind loving and gentle man . We were his neighbour for many years as we moved in to a home he once owned and he had told us that he was happy that we were the ones that bought this house. Rest in peace David. Corinna Taverna-Rossi, Mitchell Cunningham , Corey-Anne Rossi.
