Obituary of Lois Norma Elaine Hislop

HISLOP, LOIS NORMA ELAINE, July 14, 1931 - May 16, 2024

It is with great sadness that our family announces the passing of Lois Norma Elaine Hislop (nee Caskie).  Lois passed peacefully, on May 16th, at her nursing home facility from natural causes.  Lois was born on July 14, 1931 to Ruby and Norman Caskie.  After graduating from teacher’s college she travelled the world teaching elementary school children in Scotland, France, and Ghana. Lois married a childhood friend Robert Hislop in 1966.  They went on to have two children, Barbara and Susan.  Lois retired in the late 1980’s and moved up to her cottage in Minden where she loved to entertain family and friends.  Lois was a loving mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother.  She enjoyed world travelling, reading mysteries, animals and looking after children. Lois was predeceased by her parents; Ruby and Norman Caskie, her brothers, Donald and Robert Caskie, her husband Robert Hislop, and her nephew Glen Caskie.  She is survived by her two daughters: Barbara and Susan, as well as her nieces: Beth and Gwen, and her seven grandchildren: Camraeon, Caden, Liam, Quinten, Kalem, Andrew and Lauren.  We would like to thank everyone that ever took the time to visit her, she appreciated and enjoyed the time she spent with you.
