Obituary of Steven William Pickard

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Steven William Pickard son of Jim and Beverley (Deceased)after a long battle with dementia. He is survived by his wife of 39 years Dawn (schell) Pickard and his 3 children Terri, David(Debbie)and Robert(Lindsay). He is also survived by his 7 grandchildren Adam, Jason, Tyler, Danika, Syndel(Jay), Krystal and Lauralee. He was also grandpa to 6 great grandchildren. Steve had 3 siblings Micheal (predeceased ) Paul and sister Julia. Steven was a proud Licensed sheet metal worker with Local 30 for 42 years. Passing the torch to both of his sons. He had strong ties to the Local Legion branch # 459. Constantly volunteering his time to the air cadets and the poppy drive. He was also a member of Richardson Lodge 136 beginning in 1991. He became a junior warden with the lodge in 1997 to 1998, where he became a senior warden from 1998-1999. Steve would move up to worshipful Master from 1999 to 2000. And end his time with them as a Tyler. Steve will be sorrowfully missed by his family and friends. A celebration of life for Steve will be held at the royal Canadian legion address 150 Mostar street in Stouffville where he spent the last 40 years on December 6th, 2024. Where we will celebrate his life on what would have been is 80th birthday. The this will run from 1:30pm to 9pm. In lieu of flowers please donate to the Alzheimer’s society.
