Norma, born on February 4 th , 1926, was a joyful friend, devoted spouse, loving mother and grandmother. Her empathy for the less fortunate and generosity shone brightly and her vibrant personality and compassionate spirit touched the lives of all who knew her.
Norma’s journey was marked by profound personal loss when her first husband, Roy James Anthony (big Roy), tragically passed away in a car accident on September 4 th , 1957. Left to raise her young son, Roy Harold, as a single mother, Norma displayed remarkable strength and resilience. She later found new hope and happiness when she met Ted.
Ted, born on May 31 st , 1935, was a distinguished entrepreneur, founder of Alutool Ltd., devoted spouse, loving father, and grandfather. Ted and Norma married on January 21 st , 1961 and their 63-year partnership was characterized by mutual support and shared dreams.
In a bold move 60 years ago, he, Norma, and their son Roy relocated from Toronto to Cheltenham, U.K. to establish Alutool, eventually expanding into Germany and Sweden. Ted’s visionary leadership and unwavering commitment transformed Alutool into a prominent industry player, and his impact on the Tool and Die industry is widely acknowledged.
Although well established in Europe, Ted and Norma cherished their annual return trips to Ontario each summer. These visits were a time for Ted and Norma to reconnect with their son, Roy, his wife Elsbeth, and their grandchildren Thomas, Marcus, and Daniel at the family cottage on Chandos Lake, creating lasting memories.
Ted and Norma are survived by their three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (Eden, Angelika, and Brennan). They are preceded in death by their son.
A joint Memorial Service will be held at a future date, which will be announced once determined. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Alzheimer Society of Canada.
Ted and Norma Feldcamp’s legacy of love, resilience, and dedication will be fondly remembered by all who knew them. Their spirits are now reunited, and their influence will continue to be felt through their family and the many lives they touched across the globe.
