Helen Elizabeth Ilott (Meyer)

March 25, 1927 - August 15, 2024

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Helen on August 15, 2024, at age 97 in Union Villa. She was a lifelong resident of Main Street Markham and lived a life filled with love, kindness, and dedication.  Helen was predeceased by her husband William (2015). In their 64 years together, they created a warm home, filled with the sounds of music, laughter, and Blue Jays games. She is survived by her sister, Fran Thomson.  Helen caringly raised three daughters: Kathy Champion (Bill), Marilyn Tufford (Bob), and Susan Ilott, Stan Wontor. She was a cherished Nanny to grandchildren, Jen (Mark), Brandon (Kate), Corey (Hilary), Alana, and Michael, and a proud Great-Nanny to Dawson, Cayden, Tyson, Aubrie, Olivia, and Callie. A favourite Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.  Helen was known for her humble nature and her commitment to community by supporting organizations with her time and heart. Visitation will be held at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street N. (Markham Road), Markham, on Tuesday, August 20th, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., followed by a Funeral Service in the chapel at 1 p.m

Helen’s life was a blessing, and her memory will forever be a treasure.
