David Harry Clark
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of David Harry Clark of Markham. After a courageous battle with cancer, David passed away peacefully at Hill House Hospice, Richmond Hill on August 8, 2024 at the age of 80. David is survived by his beloved wife Anita Clark, cherished daughter Mary Clark, sister Lynda Walker (Jim), niece Patricia (Andrew), as well as many other loving family members and friends.
David was a true "Markhamite." Born in a house on Markham Main Street in 1944, he grew up in Markham village where he met his wife Anita at the Markham Fair. They married in 1968 in Richmond Hill, and had their daughter Mary in 1979. David worked as a local plumber for over 35 years, a job he took pride in. He was always an encouraging and supportive husband, father and friend.
David enjoyed golfing, walking, travelling and spending time with family and friends. He especially loved socializing and sharing stories with anyone he met. He would often be spotted strolling the streets of Markham village, walking the mall, or indulging at a local hotspot, bakery or coffee shop. David was a good man, very honest and had a wicked sense of humour which everyone will remember him for. David was loved dearly and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
