or somebody with strong Irish roots Therese was unusually fond of the British royals, especially the Queen mother. I'm not a royalist but as I lived 15 mins away from the Mall she persuaded me to go with her. I'll never forget the joy on her face watching the Queen and Queen mother on the balcony at Buckingham palace on the Queen mother's 100th birthday, during Therese's last visit to the UK.
