In Memory of David Bradford Vickers
June 11, 1935 - January 31, 2014
After a courageous battle with Alzheimer's, David has passed away peacefully. A resident of Thunder Bay (Port Arthur) Ontario, David was the son of Allen Vickers and Hilda (Beer) Vickers who both passed away in 1968. David attended high school in Port Arthur and graduated with Honours in Architectural Technology from Ryerson Polytechnical Institute Toronto in 1959. David began his career with Maranni and Morris and moved on to work with Raymond Moriyama Architects and Planners. David retired after many years service with Moriyama and Teshima Architects and Planners. In addition to his ability and skills in the field of architecture David was an extremely talented artist. His drawings will continue to be treasured and enjoyed by his family and close friends. David is survived by his brother Raymond Vickers (dear friend Lillian Scott), his son Philip (Paola) his daughter Charlene (Mark) his two granddaughters Amber and Alexandra, former daughter-in-law Hope Armstrong, and his many cousins on the West Coast. He will be missed by his family, many friends and former co-workers. The family would like to thank the care team at Leisure World Caregiving Centre, Scarborough for their support to David and the family. A special thank you to Dr. Harvey Pasternak for the many years of care and concern for David and the family. Visitation and memorial service for family and friends at Dixon-Garland Funeral home in Markham. Donations: Alzheimer's Society, Children's Wish Foundation.
