Obituary of Pierrette Yu Ming Chuan

We lost a devoted mother, Pierrette Yu Ming Chuan, on May 14, 2024. Pierrette passed away painlessly in her hospital bed after her heart stopped on May 11. Ever sacrificing herself for her only son, Pierrette’s last act was to prepare him for their next adventure in life together.

Pierrette was always a visionary, determined to take her dreams and make them a reality. Passionate and strong-willed, she always gave her best to overcome every obstacle before her.

Pierrette loved spending time in nature and placed tremendous care in cultivating her gardens (and shooing away the rabbits). She also loved baking, and her upside-down pineapple cakes were a sweet delicacy on summer days.

Pierrette is survived by her son Ashley, her sister Marie, and her brother Alain. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alexandre, and both her parents.

Friends and family are invited to say a final goodbye to Pierrette at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home at 166 Main St. North, Markham, ON L3P 1Y3 on Monday, May 20^th from 11am until time of service at 1PM.
