I met Sam 40 years ago when I was taking my CU classes
We remained good friends until the end.
We were also lucky enough to be together @ AIG conference in Cancun
2001, we spend a week together.
Sam was a gentleman
He was smart & the best dresser I have ever met.
I would like to send my condolences to the family
May he rest in peace.
Until we meet again.

Dear Jessie and family.
Dianne and I are so very saddened by Sam’s passing. I have known Sam for over 40 years.
He was a man of great integrity, with great faith and a passion for life and knowledge.
He exemplified all that was good in a person and greatly loved his family.
Our most sincere condolences. May his memory be a blessing and may the Lord grant you comfort.

My mother Vera, passed away in 1980, at the tender age of 60. She worked at Montreal Life, where Sam was the Branch Manager. At 23, I had no idea what to do. Sam guided me through the whole process. Wills, insurance, the government. Years passed and I was at an Insurance event when I heard that voice. Turned around and there he was. I will never forget. My sympathy to his family.

Sam was in my bible study group at St Pat's church. He often had insightful insight to offer our group. I came to really appreciate his presence because his participation enriched our study. Not only that' he was a great guy with a great sense of humour so he was fun to have in the group.

Ren and I had the pleasure of meeting Sam and Jessie when we moved to Swan Lake. We have many wonderful memories. Ren and Sam golfed together in Toronto and Florida. We’ll never forget the incredible meal that Sam prepared when we visited in Naples. Oh, and his delicious homemade sausage; so delicious.
It was our pleasure to get to know him and he will be missed.

I met Sam many years ago after reading about his development of a financial services program through Seneca College. Getting to work with Sam on a number of his initiatives in the program, as well as in his Seneca classes, over the years, proved to be a highlight of my time in the industry. Sam proved to be a true Gentleman in everything he did and I'm sure most who knew Sam will think of him in that term.

When Sam came down to Naples we had many conversations about the world's problems. We did not solve any of the problems but, I know, I enjoyed our spirited talks. We also enjoyed the times we tried different restaurants while Sam & Jessie were in Naples. Our sincerest condolences to Jessie and the family. He will be missed.

I do remember Sam as a very nice and friendly person. I still remember his surprise when I spoke to him in Italian the first time we met and told him that I had worked for several years in an Italian firm. May his soul Rest In Peace.

Sam treated everyone with respect and dignity and kindness. His quiet faith was an example to everyone of all ages. We, who knew him, were indeed privileged. May God give peace to family and friends as we reflect on our memories and recognize that Sam is now with our Lord whom he loves.
