It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Royden McDermid at Markham Stouffville Hospital on March 4, 2024.

He will be greatly missed by his wife of 62 years, Mary McDermid (nee Marshall). Loving father of Debby Agius (Rob) and Dean McDermid (Lynn).He welcomed Maxine into the family and his grandchildren will miss their Papa greatly; Kylee, Caitlyn and Logan. He is also survived by his sister Ruth Cameron (Alvin). Predeceased by parents Roy & Margaret McDermid (nee McPhail) and his sister Eileen and his brother
Lloyd.

In keeping with Royden’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. For those who wish, memorial contributions can be made to Markham Lion’s Club or Lion’s Foundation of Canada Guide Dogs.
