Obituary of Shirley Das

Forever Loved, Never Forgotten ...

Shirley Das

June 11, 1936 - February 13, 2024

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Shirley Helena Das (née Cho-Chu) on February 13, 2024, at the age of 87. Shirley was the loving wife of Joseph, the cherished mother of Joe (Kathy) and Jackie, the beloved grandmother of Emily, Owen, Rachel, and Ryan, and a dear sister to Estelle, Claud, Edward, David, Margaret, Carol, and Leslie.

Shirley was a fun, beautiful, kind-hearted lady who loved life. She had many hobbies and interests, found joy in the simple things, and was a bright light in the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by her family and friends.

The visitation/reception will take place at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home on Friday, February 23 from 5-9 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 24 from 10-11 a.m.

Our family would like to extend a special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Markham Stouffville Hospital for their care and compassion over the last few months. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
