Tomorrow we say goodbye to my dear friend Mariola Langman. My friend for 36 years, Mariola was truly a ball of fire.

When she loved, she loved with everything in her, when she laughed, you couldn’t help but feel it…you could hear her across the room. She could find laughter in pretty much anything, and everything, even in heartbreak and tears. When she was mad, well… I’m glad she was never mad at me…and still, she’d find laughter, find some thread of humour somewhere, somehow within her sorrow, or in mine. The laughing while crying memories will always make me smile. I always admired that.

She truly was a joy in my life and I’m thankful for our friendship and the trust….the openness, the love. I miss her as I’m sure all her friends will. I know no one like her. She brightened a room as soon as she entered it. Everyone knew when Mariola arrived, always with a huge smile, looking like a girly girl.

Until we meet again, my friend, my sweet and spicy Mariola, rest in peace. I’ll wake you up when I get there!
