I went to school with Fred, lived on farm behind the Pike farm and across tracks.

I am sorry to hear that Fred has passed on. We lived in the stone house and grew up with Fred on the farm and have fond memories of living there. I have not seen Fred in years but see Nora and Glen when we get back up to Markham from Connecticut. Rest easy Fred. God Bless.

Hey Valentine,
So very sorry to hear about Fred. Thankfully you have a great amount of wonderful memories to draw on.
Fred was a funny , kind and generous person . He sure knew how to grow a good crop of corn, which many of us (MWSL)would enjoy every year.
Rest in Peace, Fred ...and thank you.
My sincere condolences to all family and friends.

Fred was our Best Man, my husband Greg’s best friend and like another brother to me. He was a very kind and wonderful person.
We only had fun together, whether we were at Pike’s farm, the Markham Fair, Chandos Lake, or just out in a road trip!
We have memories of great times, stories we shared together that made us laugh. I will miss Fred’s contagious giggle.
Too soon….so sad.
My heart goes out to Beth, Suzie and the Pike family, Bob and John.
Rest in peace Fred. You will be missed.
Love Susanne.

Beth, Suzie, Susan, Brenda, Nora, John, Bob and families.
We are traveling in Costa Rica now when I am saddened to hear of Fred's passing.
I remember Freddie initially as a toddler and then as an adult while visiting the Pike family, relatives and friends who are still living in my home area; the last time being in 2016.
Fred's older brother, Gordie and I were the best of buddies and neighbours. I was always welcomed in the Pike household. There were many happy activities going on there, creating the best of childhood memories; except for the sudden passing of Gordie, who I will never forget. Looking at the pictures of Fred, it really struck me how closely he looks like his Dad as I remember him. You will all miss Fred but I am sure you will cherish many happy memories. Rest in peace Fred. Now you will be able to join your big brother, Gord.

Fred was such a nice nice guy, remembering a really fun tobogganing party at his family farm when we were in our twenties and Fred dropping of fresh corn to us in Uxbridge on his way home, rest in peace Fred!
