Obituary of Larry Couperthwaite
Forever Loved, Never Forgotten ..
Larry Clarke Couperthwaite
November 4, 1948 - January 31, 2024
Larry Clarke Couperthwaite cracked his last cheerful and well-timed joke on January 31, 2024, at the age of 75. Later that day, he died suddenly related to unexpected heart complications while awaiting aortic valve replacement surgery at Toronto General Hospital. Larry is survived by his spouse of many years, Marian; his daughters Lisa and Kristi and their respective spouses; his grandsons, Maddox, Owen, and Liam; Marian’s children and grandchildren; his brother Bill and family; and many other close family and friends who loved him dearly. Larry made friends wherever he went, and nothing was more important to him than being there for his family as much as he could. He was well-known for his fun and kind-hearted nature, hilarious pranks, astute business mind, and supportive coaching and mentoring. He loved long drives, playing with his dogs, spending time in the warm Florida sun, and being silly with his grandsons who he adored. Larry is already profoundly missed. May his memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a special charity called Nova’s Ark where his beloved grandson, Owen, has enjoyed summer camp for many years: https://www.canadahelps.org/en/charities/novas-ark/
