Lorraine Kenney
November 29, 1955 - January 24, 2024
Born in Toronto in 1955 to proud parents Harold & Ruth Kennedy. Lorraine passed peacefully at home in Unionville on January 24, 2024. Lorraine was dearly loved by her lifelong partner and husband Mike; loving mother to Ryan and Katelyn (Justin) and Grandma to Julia, Tyler and Charlotte. Lorraine was sister to brothers Gord (Deb), Don (Linda), brothers-in-law Dan (Shirley), Terry (Bonnie) and John, as well as loving Aunt to Kara, Whitney, Aurora, Tara, Shelley, Kristie, Sean and Evan. Lorraine also leaves cousins Mardelle & Bonnie.
Lorraine completed her grade school at Bessborough Public School, on to Leaside High School and completed the last two years of high school at John A Macdonald C.I. Lorraine went to France for 1st year university at Grenoble University and returned to Toronto to attend Glendon College at York University. Lorraine built a highly successful career in banking, managing branches, private banking centres, and helping lead the build out of the Financial Planning businesses. She spent time as a Board Member of the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
A Memorial Mass will take place on Tuesday, January 30th, 2024 at St. Justin Martyr Parish, 3898 Highway No. 7 East, Unionville at 11:00 a.m. A Private family burial will take place at Christ the King Cemetery. All family and friends are welcome to the families house following her Memorial Mass to celebrate Lorraine's Life with lunch and a beverage at 166 Carlton Road, Unionville.
Donations may be made in memory of Lorraine to Parkinson's Canada.
