My sincerest condolences to Jeff and all of Marina's family members on the heart-wrenching loss of a such wonderful woman. I knew Marina as a warm, intelligent, charming and cheerful person, whose positive outlook always shone and inspired everyone she knew despite the many challenges she faced, particularly during the last decade of her very productive life.
Her beautiful personality was reflected in her lovely musical singing voice as well as her generosity, kindness and delightful sense of humour.
I will be forever grateful for my long association with Marina, initially through her most welcome participation as a singer/soloist in Markham's Village Voices and until very recently as a fellow soprano in the Amadeus Choir. I am truly saddened to know there will be no additional opportunities to sing with and enjoy the company of this remarkable person. Rest in peace, Marina!

Dear Jeff and Family,
My deepest condolences to you and your family. I was very saddened to hear of Marina's passing. She led by example with her kindness, thoughtfulness and love of others. She was very enthusiastic to see you and always expressed an interest in what was going on in your life. When you saw her, it always put a smile on your face. My fondest memory of Marina was when she sang at our wedding, her voice was beautiful and angelic! I am glad that she pursued her vocal passions. I enjoyed some great times with Marina at Photovac's company picnics and even later at our annual Christmas time reunions with the "Photovac" gang. She made it a point to go around and talk to everyone at our reunions to find out what was happening in our lives. I will miss her, as I know many of us will. She had a warm inviting smile and was a kind soul. I am very grateful to have shared these wonderful memories and to have had her as my friend.
My thoughts and prayers are with you all in this difficult time. God bless.

Generous beyond measure with a voice of an angel is how I remember Marina. She exemplified all of the best traits one can hope for a parish cantor and choir leader. The rock of the soprano section, she led our 9:30 Sunday morning ladies through the hymns and anthems with patience, fortitude and much needed humour. A few Christmases, I had the pleasure to accompany her while she sung, solo, Harold Darke's In the Bleak Mid-Winter at the end of Communion. Her high G intonation at the end of verse 4 was as exquisite as it was delicate and is a memory forever ingrained in my mind.
Our Father will be fortunate to have her in his choir next Christmas!
Rest in Peace Marina,
Philip Enright, 9:30 Choir, St Patrick's Parish, Markham

Dear Jeff and Marina's family -
I feel so grateful to have known Marina through our wonderful association with the Amadeus Choir, and I know the choir members and all her many friends feel the same way.
Marina was a person full of faith, life and light, of optimism, caring, and hope, of great intelligence and generosity, and she showed us through her life and passing a glimpse of a rare state of grace.
Marina's friends share your unfathomable sorrow at her loss, and we also know that she will be there with you when you speak her name or think of her.
Please accept my deepest condolences at your most profound loss.

Dear Jeff, Nancy & siblings. We are so sorry to hear about your loss and share your grief in this time of bereavement. Please know that our thoughts & prayers are with you during this difficult time.
Tonight at choir, I had to face the reality that Marina will not be among us. She won’t be sitting next to me, and it’s hard to fathom that her voice will no longer grace our rehearsals or our Sunday services. Our choir and our church community were privileged to have had Marina singing with us. It was an honor to spend over 30 years in her company. She had spent many years with our choir joyfully, energetically, and spiritually nourishing through her voice and her huge contribution in her support to us in the choir. Someone says our choir is like a small church inside our Parish, a place where we pray, where support is always available, and where people step forward to help without asking about the cost. Marina played an instrumental role in all of this.. She went beyond. She gives comfort to the sick with her visits...She brings out the best in people. People are always drawn to Marina because they feel happy in her company. In our prayers, I had hoped & prayed that each day would bring a little determination and healing her way. I believe that prayer makes a difference even as I acknowledge that sometimes the answer to our prayers is “no.”
Amidst my sadness, there’s solace to be found in her beautiful voice and her kindness, empathy & genuine love towards me and others. It will take a lifetime to forget Marina’s good deeds I will continue to sing glorious in her memory. Where a beautiful soul has traveled, beautiful memories remain forever. Her kind soul & giving spirit touched my family and many who were associated with her. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her. “Gone from our sight, but never from our hearts. Rest in eternal peace, my dearest friend. May you be surrounded by the loving light of Jesus as a reward for a life well-lived, plus your multiple contributions toward the betterment of society. You will always be in my heart. I have not only lost a choir buddy but a dear family friend. Good people leave good memories in our hearts. Rest in peace.”

I am so sad about Marina’s passing. We both shared a love of singing as choristers in the Amadeus Choir for many years, and I’ll miss her. I was so impressed by her positive attitude about having cancer. With deepest sympathies to her family.
