It is with great and profound sadness that we announce the passing of Pranlal Mohanlal Shah. He passed peacefully in his sleep on the morning of December 22, 2023. He was 82 years old. Pranlal is survived by his loving wife, three children, three grandchildren, and countless relatives and friends spread across 4 continents. 

Born March 19, 1941 in Kampala, Uganda, Pranlal quickly rose the ranks to become a renowned motorsportsman. He won first prize in Class C of the East African Safari Rally on April 1st, 1970. Upon expulsion from Uganda, Pranlal re-settled in Ontario, Canada. He channelled his passion for motor vehicles, working as a mechanic before segueing to logistics. He moved to Markham with his loving wife, Jayshree, having three children together. Even in his latter years, Pranlal's penchant for hard work never waned. He serves as an enduring symbol of dedication and resolve in the face of adversity. 

The Funeral Service for Pranlal Mohanlal Shah will be held at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home located at 166 Main Street Markham N, Markham, ON L3P 1Y3 on Sunday, December 24, 2023. The Viewing Service will begin at 10:30am EST (3:30pm GMT/9:00pm IST), followed by the Celebration Service at 11:30am EST (4:30pm GMT/10:00pm IST).
