I hadn't heard from Naansi in a while so I checked her facebook page. The shock took my breath away. I am so terribly sorry for the loss of this amazing, caring, wonderful woman. In 2007, my father was diagnosed with mesothelioma and he was determined to get his land settled before passing. Naansi was his guardian angel and went above and beyond to help him accomplish this. She became a dear friend to me over the years. We did not see each other but the little comments on pictures and her positive messages kept her in my heart and mind. She will be sincerely missed. RIP Naansi, you have gone far to soon. This world needs more people like you xoxoxo

I came to know beautiful Naansii when we met in our 20 somethings. We were part of a wonderful group of friends. And as later in in life we all moved along different routes, any time we connected during our lifetimes....it was as if no time had passed...just simply picked up where we left off, exchanging our milestones between those connecting times. Her soft kind voice always present and forever in memory. Shall miss her deeply. My heartfelt condolences Bree and to Nick and the children. Thank you

I met Naan when we were three years old; my family lived around the corner on Burnley. We went to elementary school together then high school. We played Barbies, then not too much later we played Beatle records together. I can picture her straightening her beautiful curly locks by tying her hair up in a ponytail on the very top of her head then wrapping it in one huge roller. The 70s -Wow! I still remember what she wore to the first Beatles concert.
You didn’t need to be her best friend to be made to feel like one when you were with her.
We reconnected later in life through Facebook and I am truly grateful that we did! We shared messages of joy in our grandchildren; traded encouraging words of hope when we both received our cancer diagnoses and, even when she was fighting for one more day, she sent me messages of love, hope and strength.
Bree and Nick - you will miss her always. Talk about her to your beautiful children. Keep her memories alive for them and speak of her often, as she would have wanted.

My wife Yvonne and I offer our heartfelt condolences to Tom, Maida, Bree, and their families. My mom and Nan’s mom were sisters. As cousins, our families spent many summer holidays together camping and cottaging as well as Christmas and other special holidays. Such fond memories of fishing, swimming, and skiing behind Uncle Larry’s boat. To us kids, it seemed to go so fast; however, I believe it only had a 25-horsepower motor. As others have stated, Nan always had a very positive attitude about life and showed her emotions openly. I know firsthand of her extremely important volunteer work in victim services. She will be greatly missed.

Condolences to her friends and family. The Jamieson’s were neighbours of ours in Scarborough and Naansii was one of my babysitter’s when I was small. She was always kind to me.

My husband Peter and I met Naansii at Debrah and Jim's a few summers ago. I'm Debrah's sister, Dawn. We soon realized what a beautiful soul she was with sharing stories and life itself. She will be forever in our memories.

From Virginie and our family our most heartfelt condolences to you and your family, Bree. The anniversary of my father's passing is December 8. I will think of you from now on whenever we are entering that special time of remembrance where time brings us to mourn perhaps more acutely but also to celebrate the lost life lived and how it inspires us to carry on. Big hug and friendship. Your colleague, Eric

On behalf of her first cousin Judy Stone I offer this story: At some point in her early life, Nandi was bitten by a neighbourhood dog - her response “… he must have been a very scared dog” - so typical of Nan’s view of life.
