Bernard Michael Gibson
1939-2023

Bernard Michael Gibson passed away peacefully on October 8, 2023 at the age of 83 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s and Parkinsons. Bernard was born in Manchester, England on October 28, 1939 to Florence (Mills) and Bernard Gibson Sr. Bernard is survived by and remembered as a devoted husband to his wife of 51 years Sharon. Loving father to his three daughters Kimberley Gott (Darin), Leigh Fitzgerald (John) and Alison Richards (Justin) and proud Grandpa to Dylan Ramsay, Leah Ramsay (Matthew Rutherford), Brendan Ramsay, Zoe Richards, James Richards and Kieran Fitzgerald and JoJo to Layne Ramsay-Rutherford. He will be deeply missed by his siblings in England, Peter Gibson, Rita Holtom (Jim) and Gloria Amphlett (Robert) and by his cousins, nieces and nephews.

Friends are welcome to attend the visitation that will occur on Monday, October 16, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham, ON, L3P 1Y3. Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, October 17, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Marks Parish, 345 Glad Park Avenue, Stouffville, ON L4A 1E4 followed by a reception at the church.
