It was with a very heavy heart that we heard of the passing of our very dear friend Jim whom I've known since childhood and my husband since our marriage. His humor and wit was enjoyed by all who knew him as well as his generosity. He was known as Uncle Jim (and Aunty Irene) to our girls growing up. You will ever be in our hearts Jim. Our thoughts and prayers are with Irene and the family for strength and comfort in the days ahead.

A true gentleman went to heaven, his name is Uncle Jim,
A nicer man I’ve yet to meet, I have the fondest memories of him.
He touched the lives of many, a shining star all on his own,
I would’ve said goodbye and more if only I had known.
So I send this special message, to heaven up above.
Take special care of my Uncle Jim and please send him all my love.
I know he’s with my dad now, & he’ll have met him with a smile,
And placed a kiss upon his cheek and held him for a while.
And it’s comforting to know that his brother is now with him,
My precious memories will never fade of my Dad and my Uncle Jim.
Rest in Peace uncle Jim. Until we meet again.❤️
All my love and prayers for you Auntie Irene. My thoughts are with you today and always.

Irene, I hope this is not a duplication as I tried to post earlier. It is with extremely heavy heart that I write this about my, relative, friend & mentor Jim.
You & Jim will be forever loved because of your benevolence , love & support when Norma , Gary & I emigrated in 1980. You’re introduced us to Canadian life & culture & it helped immensely. Jim & I golfed, drank many Labatts Blue & 50 over the early years & he mentored me through careers at Cutler Hammer & Siemens. He also introduced me to Scarborough Squash Club where I met life long friends, Dennis, Donny, Ronny & Grant. He affected everyone he came in contact with & will never be forgotten. With greatest respect David Hynd.

Like many others, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Jim's passing. It was always a pleasure to share a pint with him at the Duchess. He was truly a nice and caring person. My sincere condolences to his wife, Irene, and all his family.

To Irene and Family;
I have known James for many years because we both frequent the Duchess of Markham Pub.
The friends I meet with often share a table with Jimmy and his cronies before they return home for dinner.
I will remember him as a "true gentleman" who loved his wife, golf and extensive travel.
I will miss his wonderful Scottish accent and especially his address to the haggis on Robby Burns day.
May he rest in Peace

Jim was a very good friend to Derek and I and an adopted uncle to our 3 children for 34 years.
Many happy memories of Saturday Nights sitting around the dinner table.
Thinking of Irene and the family at this difficult time.
Would like to think he and Derek are putting the world to rights.

Jim was a special person. A mentor, friend, one of a kind. I met Jim through His work at Multilin. He was my regional manager and friend. My children had named him for one reason or another "cute Mollie". When he came to Sudbury, we would often have dinner at home. Jim could be found in the backyard playing soccer with my children.
Will be sadly missed.
