Obituary of Doreen Elaine Choy

CHOY, Doreen Elaine - It is with the deepest heartache we share that our beloved Doreen Elaine Choy passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, April 29, 2023 at the age of 85.  She truly was the devoted wife of Raymond Choy, loving mother of Gary (Sue), Jackie (Mark), Lisa (Rob), and Ray. Doreen was also the beloved grandma to Jasmine (Jordan), Daniel, Damon (Danika), Olivia, Carly, Sheridan, Noah, Malaina, and Jessica.  She was also cherished by her great-grandchildren Esme, Wren, and Sonny.  

She was a kind, caring, and giving person who always put the needs of her family before her own. Doreen was also a strong woman who faced every challenge in her life with courage and dignity.  Doreen will be held dear in the hearts of her siblings, family, and to all who knew her.

A memorial visitation will take place at the Dixon-Garland Funeral Home, 166 Main Street North, Markham, ON L3P 1Y3, (905) 294-2030 on Saturday, May 6, 2023 from 11 am until 1 pm.  A memorial service to commemorate the life and legacy of Doreen Elaine Choy will take place in the Dixon-Garland Chapel at 1 o’clock and a reception will follow in the Funeral Home Reception Centre.
